Shocking news as more than twenty people have been hospitalized after consuming contaminated milk during a circumcision ceremony. Among those infected are impeccable members of the clergy, school going children and village elders.
The incident happened at Lelachtich in kuresoi south,Nakuru county and those infected have been rushed to and are being admitted at Olenguruone sub- District Hopstal where they are receiving treatments as investigation proceeds.
The incident has taken place days after another similar case was reported where so many people including school kids were hospitalized after taking contaminated milk. Its so unfortunate that diary farmers are not much kin on what they dissolve in their milk before distributing to the public.
The milk is said to contain a very dangerous pest called traitix,which is a pest used to kill ticks. The milk vendor is said to have distributed the milk to every family around,and after consuming is when every body started complaining of stomach problems.
According to Kenya Diary Board, some milk vendors are not well educated on the methods of preserving milk and they have warned the public that, much of unpacked milk is not clean and that people should be very careful on the kind of things they consume.
They have also warned that,people should stop taking things that don't have the KRA stickers for they have not been exermined for quality of consumption.
